From there, research into a myriad of the world's musical traditions fused into his already unique approach to the guitar. Todd's playing has contributed to such critically acclaimed albums as Tyshawn Sorey's Koan (2009 - 482 Music), Oblique (2011 - Pi Recordings), Rema Hasumi's UTAZATA (2015 - Ruweh Records). His deep musical relationship with the late Masabumi Kikuchi further deepened Todd's understanding of the dynamics of the creative process. Todd has developed a highly metaphorical approach to the guitar, which is featured in his debut album "Mu'U" which will be released on Ruweh Records in September of 2017.
